Book List 2008

I'm telling you up front, I'm probably only going to read about 10% of the books I list. (Let's be realistic here!) I always get distracted and read something else, but I like to make lists anyway, so:

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting...

for a file to render. After I die, once I'm happily settled in Heaven, I would love for someone to give me a list of how many hours I spent doing any certain thing. I want to know that I spent 3 days buttoning my pants. I want to know that I spent 5 weeks brushing my teeth. I want to know that I spent YEARS waiting for my movie files to render.

Anyway, I'm at work, with 16:33 to go. I can't "work" again until it's finished. So I'm blogging. I'm also listening to music blogs, farting around on myspace, and generally wishing that there was something a little more interesting going on in my life to write about.

I was deathly ill for the last week, actually. That's something interesting. Turns out, working 6 days a week, sometimes 12 hours a day for too many months will eventually land you a visit at the doctor's office. Mine came in the form of an aggressive kidney infection/UTI. Oh, and I collapsed in Target.

I'm resolved to work less and take better care of my body. We'll see.

Just Because

I made it for work, and it didn't see much use. But I like it, so I'm blogging it. So there. :)

Happy New Year!

Geez, am I glad 2007 is over. I didn't keep any of last year's resolutions, I didn't read half the books I wanted to, didn't go half the places I wanted to, and my financial situation is only slightly better than it was last year. BUT I did find a job that is rewarding and fulfilling, and most importantly, somebody to love. I can't complain, but there are a lot of things that I want to do better this year.

Istock: If I spent less time farting around, and more time drawing, I might have a little more change in my pocket. I'm going to work on being more efficient.

Spending: I find myself shopping as a hobby... spending money isn't a very good way to pass the time.

Candles, bath and body products: I have fifty thousand candles, a gallon of lotion, and a boyfriend. Using this crap up shouldn't be a problem. Why is it? Why do I have an entire shelf full?

Dresses: I have five little black dresses that received virtually no attention last year. I mean to rectify that.
